Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation will have hundreds of wedding gowns for sale at the 2008 Port Townsend Wedding Show. Hosted by the Port Townsend Wedding Guild, the gown sale will take place on the top floor of the Silverwater Cafe building in downtown Port Townsend.


The Brides Against Breast Cancer gown sale is Making Memories top fund-raiser across the nation. At over 32 shows each year brides-to-be can find the gown of their dreams at an incredible savings while making wishes and dreams come true for women diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. This popular “nationwide tour of gowns” is made possible through donations from bridal shops, designers, manufacturers, and individuals who want to make a difference in someone’s life. Making Memories is one of “Oprah’s Angels” and a national treasure. According to Fran Hansen, Executive Director and Co-founder of Making Memories, “Thanks to incredible nationwide media coverage, including appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show, MSNBC, and over 200 television interviews, the organization has received over 25,000 gown donations with an estimated resale value of over 4 million dollars.

Exclusive vip event & Fundraiser for Making Memories


October 10, 2008  6-8 pm


Ten lucky brides and their guests will be treated to a special VIP party and gown sale on Friday evening, October 10th. This exclusive event offers brides a personalized shopping experience and gown preview of hundreds of gowns before the Wedding Show opens to the public. All money raised from VIP tickets goes directly to granting wishes for women diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. As an added bonus, VIP attendees will be given free admission to the Wedding Show as well as an invitation to a private party catered by the Silverwater Cafe. 

Advanced reservations are required. VIP tickets are $150 for a bride and her two guests and should be purchased directly from Making Memories:
